How Blogs Appear in Google Search

Read slowly, yes, the discussion is only on points that I actually work on, bro. So don’t miss it!

Well, before knowing how to make our blog on the first page of Google, it’s good to start with how to get your blog indexed by Google’s search engine first.

Because many beginner bloggers ask why blogs don’t appear in Google searches. Even though his blog has not been registered on Google Search Entertaining.

Register Blog to Google Search Console

Many new bloggers find it difficult and wonder why their blogs are old or don’t even appear in Google searches. They don’t know that there is a tool specifically made to be indexed quickly on google.

How to get a blog to appear in google blog searches must be registered with Google Search Console first.

Google Search Console is a sophisticated tool made by Google that functions to make it easier for the web to be indexed by the Google search engine. It can also help web blog posts index quickly by google.

How to Make Your Blog or Article Appear on Page One of Google Search

After knowing how blogs appear in search engines, the next step is to learn to write articles and optimize them so that they can rank and compete on the Google search engine.

To make it easier for blog articles to appear on Google at the top, here I will start from keyword research.

1. Keyword Research Before Writing Articles

Keyword research is one way to get lots of visitors to your blog. Actually, you can just use feeling, it’s just that the research is more accurate, there’s data.

Before starting to write I always do keyword research for the title and topic of the article first. Gather some keywords that are still related to the article that you want to make later.

The research I did was looking for search volume data for the last 1-12 months. What’s the volume number? When it comes to free numbers, the important thing is that someone is looking for it every month. Yes, at least 1000/month.

Also, pay attention to whether the competition is heavy or not, you can see what websites are on page 1 with these keywords. Compare the strength of our blog’s domain with the blog on page 1, if it feels strong to shift its position, just write the article.

Here are some keyword research tools I’ve used:

  • Google Trends
  • Google Search
  • Google Keyword Planer
  • Ubersuggest
  • Keywordtool.io
  • SEMrush
  • LSI Graph

2. Creating Quality and SEO Friendly Articles

Quality articles on blogs are different from writing in other media. Armed with being able to write alone is not enough to compete on the Google search page.

You need to learn to make articles that are friendly to search engines, the cool term is SEO friendly articles. By making SEO friendly articles, your blog’s position will be easier to move up to page 1 of Google.

Here are the important points that I prioritize in writing quality articles on Google.

Pay Attention to Search Intent

Google’s AI is now very smart, it can distinguish a web page in the form of information or sales transactions. Google can actually provide web pages according to what people are looking for.

There are 4 types of keywords, namely::

  • Navigation keywords.
  • Commercial Keywords.
  • Keywords Information and.
  • Transactional keywords.

Here you have to be smart to create titles and content according to what people need.

Examples like these 3 keywords:

  • Xiaomi cellphone.
  • Buy a Xiaomi cellphone.
  • Best Xiaomi Phones.

Try to think by searching these three keywords, what content will appear on the first page of Google. Try your test searching on google with the 3 keywords above.

If you already know the difference, maybe you can determine the title and content of the article that can enter Google ranking 1 easily.

Article Hierarchy Must Be Structured

After doing keyword research and gathering topics to be discussed, you should write articles with an easy-to-understand hierarchy. Google really likes an article whose content is structured.

By writing structured articles, your blog will look professional, readers will also easily understand the content of the writing you make. Generally an article will be written starting from the opening, content and closing.

Examples like the image below:

sample table of contents for articles on the verhan.id blog Oh yes, to make it easier for readers, you should use the Table Of Content feature (a table of contents in the form of a link), for example, you can see the image above.

I also want to ask, do you think this article is well structured or confusing? Please help comment!

More Articles

This is my principle when writing articles, the content must be more complete and up to date than the 10 best articles on page 1 of Google .

If their writing average is 1000 words, I will try to write 1500-2000 words. However, it should also be noted that the content of the article should not be out of the topic of the title that has been determined.

Look for speech keywords (LSI keywords) that can enter into the discussion of the article’s topic. The more derived keywords are discussed, then your article will appear in Google searches with many keyword variations.

Google also prioritizes articles that have a large number of words. Of course, the articles written must be original and supported by other media, such as images and videos to support content.

3. Article Optimization (SEO On Page)

This is the next step in writing quality articles. There are several things that you should apply to the article page.

Putting Keywords in the Right Place

In order for your blog to appear on the first page of Google, you also have to know how to optimize the placement of keywords correctly.

Before knowing this, I wrote an article that was just random, it turned out to be a big problem in the ranking value in the eyes of Google.

Here’s how I put keywords on an article page:

  • in the article URL.
  • in the title of the article.
  • in the heading tags.
  • in Featured images.
  • in Meta titles.
  • in the Meta description.
  • in the first paragraph of the article.
  • in the middle paragraph of the article.
  • in the last paragraph of the article.

Add Internal Link and External Link

Internal linking is a way to link one page to another page of the same blog. For example, as I did this → How to Create a Blog on Hp .

External links that add links to external web pages on our blog pages. So, here’s an example → YouTube Verhan .

Internal or external links, both of which can help increase the position of the blog in Google search, provided that the page is still relevant to the topic of the article being discussed.

Oh yes, all links I set “Open New Tab”. So if a reader clicks on the link, it will open in a new tab.

Optimization of Featured Snippets

helloram.com articles get snippets on google search It’s not page 1 and top 1 that bloggers really want, there’s something more interesting than that, that is, the article is recommended to be the featured snippet on the google search page.

Try to search on google with this keyword “how to connect a headset on an iphone”.

This position is also known as the featured snippet. Only articles that enter the order of 1-10 can get the prize.

Wow, if you have the intention to shift its position with your article, it’s hard! But please if you want to try.

As for getting featured snippets, there are several writing formats that you must add in the article. Here are some of them:

  • Use Heading Tags (H1 and H2).
  • Use List and Numbering.
  • Insert Table.

Image Optimization

In addition to writing, I also always optimize the images that will be uploaded into articles.

How do you optimize images for blogs? First compress the image (in TinyPNG), the name of the image must contain keywords and the writing is followed by a dash symbol (-).

For example, the illustration of a template image , Mas Sugeng , then I will give the name template-mas-sugeng.

The bonus is that the image in the article can enter page 1 of Google, it’s at the top too, it has the potential to invite visitors.

This is an example of a blog image that goes to the first page of Google.

Fix Writing Errors (Typo)

As much as possible write articles correctly according to EYD. Reread the article to be published, if there is a writing error, correct it immediately.

Errors in writing words will make the Google robot fail to read and be confused about what is conveyed from the article.

It’s a trivial thing but this is quite influential, especially if the typo is located in a keyword. So please check again before publishing.

4. Share Posts to Social Media

Sharing articles on social media is a common thing that writers often do. The goal is clear to promote articles, the more interaction on posts on social media, the better the effect on your blog.

Eh, actually this is not a ranking factor, Google itself said. But by sharing blog content on social media, there is a chance that many blogs will be visited, especially if our blog content is shared.

Indirectly sharing blogs to social media also includes off page SEO optimization steps.

5. Buy Quality Backlinks (Off Page SEO)

After writing articles, optimizing and publishing, I leave it for 1 to 2 weeks while looking at the movement of keyword rankings on the google search engine.

If the position of the article is stuck in that position and has not entered page 1, usually I will look for backlink services to raise blog posts to page 1 of google.

Only 1-2 backlinks are used, as a prefix for optimization, if you feel you are lacking power, you can add more the following week.

Where can I buy reliable backlinks?

For now I prefer to buy cheap backlinks at RajaBacklink.com. There we can find and select thousands of quality backlinks (for example see the image above).

6. Frequently Update Articles

So that the blog is always visited by other users, try to keep the blog updated.

Changing and adding to the content of articles I also do regularly, applies to articles that have not entered page 1 or the receipt position has not changed for 1 month.

What I did while updating the article:

  • Add article material 100 to 200 words.
  • Add images to make the article richer.
  • Develop better key placement.
  • Delete some keywords if it feels too tiresome (keyword stuffing)

That’s all.

7. Blog Using HTTPS (SSL Certificate)

This is the first important technical point to note. Today’s web must use SSL if you want to be seen more by Google.

Google itself has confirmed that the use of HTTP can affect blog rankings.

The characteristics of blogs that already use SSL are that there is a locked padlock sign (🔒) in the browser status bar. If clicked will display that the web is safe.

8. Using Premium Blogger Templates

I’m not very familiar with coding blog templates, if I edit myself, I’ll get an error. The food is for the good of the verhan.id blog, just install a premium blogger template from Mas Sugeng who is guaranteed to be an expert in making templates.

Here I also want to tell you the criteria for the blog template that Google likes in the current algorithm, including

  • SEO Friendly.
  • Fast Loading.
  • Breadcrumbs indexed on google.
  • Responsive and Mobile Friendly.
  • Using schema markup.
  • sure there is no error.

The final word

That’s the way I’ve been doing to the helloram.com blog so that the blog appears at the top of the Google page position. Of course, not all posts are on page 1, because each post has different competitors.

There are many other factors that determine ranking on search pages, maybe more than 200 factors, I also don’t know much. But for now, the explanation above is quite helpful to compete with other bloggers.

Important! So that the blog is always visited by other users, try to keep the blog updated with articles.

And for those of you who are still confused or there are sentences that are not understood from the explanation above, please comment in the comments column. I will answer as best I can!

So, hopefully useful.
